Reviews process tickets prior to setup and staging to ensure accuracy. * Works with material handler and maintenance (as needed) to stage all necessary equipment, material and supplies for the next job or operation. * Ensures that staging for the next job or operation is ready before the current job is finished. * Properly and expediently sets up the machine, including the installation of idler rollers, bowed rollers and similar components. * Prepares troughs, coating guides, agitators and required mixing or dispensing equipment. * Scans bar code tags for inventory adjustments as needed. * Dispenses compound as needed during the production process. * Maintains proper machine operation run rate and quality, making adjustments and/or corrections as needed to meet customer and product requirements. * Collects and delivers test samples to lab at startup or in process and notifies Production Supervisor of submittal. * Examines equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot current or potential problems. * Accurately and neatly records and completes all required documentation (Process Tickets, Set-up Sheets, Checklists, etc.). * Trains others as needed
Performs duties safely, wears PPE, adheres to safety rules and regulations and immediately reports any observed safety issues or hazards to supervision. * Cleans and organizes work area daily. * Participates in a shift hand-over review with operators or supervisors from other shifts, communicating production, quality or safety information and details. * Ensures that all required tools are present at the start and end of the shift and immediately reports any missing items to supervision. * Performs other reasonable duties as assigned. C. QUALIFICATIONS (Necessary for Position) * Ability to read and understand the contents in each Process Ticket. * Able to set-up and operate production equipment. * Able to recognize process or quality issues and take appropriate action. * Able to match and verify equipment and materials to Process Ticket requirements. * Ability to read, understand and complete labels and Process Ticket requirements. * Knowledge and understanding of materials and how to verify that they are correct per the Process Ticket. * Knowledge of compound pumps, hazardous characterizations (will train), filters, etc. * Able to lift up to 65 pounds. * Able to stand for prolonged periods of time. * Able to interact and communicate clearly with all employees (e.g. speak, write and read English at a basic to intermediate level). * High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent background and experience)
