Assembler Line Lead

Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Assembler for a Manufacturing company located in North Kingston, RI. The Lead Assembler is responsible for coordination, prioritizing and enabling daily production activities. Manage daily/weekly output based on material/capacity availability, and proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks. Assist Production Supervisor in ensuring execution of production plan to meet customer requirements. Assist with meeting incentive metrics goals (safety, on-time delivery, efficiency, and productivity). Location: North Kingston, RIPay Rate: $20HR DOE.Shift: Monday to Thursday 3:00PM-1:30AM Overtime is mandatory, on Fridays. Key Responsibilities of the Lead Assembler: Major Tasks and Responsibilities:Coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, output and on-time delivery targetsIdentify material/capacity constraints and resolve issues, including chasing material shortages, expediting and prioritizing functions (receiving, inspection, mfg. engineering, etc.) and escalating issues.Ensure that safe work practices are in use at all times.Ensure that ERP transactions are completed to reflect physical material movement.Achieve cycle count accuracy goals.Ensure production activities are completed in accordance with design and process documentation.Lead daily production meetings and assist with creating and publishing daily/weekly/monthly metrics.Assist with training and coaching of production workforce.Use data and continuous improvement tools to resolve internal and external corrective actions and drive process improvement. The Plater is a member of the Plating Department reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor. The role is an exciting opportunity to join a global, dynamic, Hi-Tech team, supporting the medical and aerospace industries. For this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or a general education development (GED) degree, along with three to five years of relevant experience. Please be clear on all the requirements below. Location: New Bedford, MADays: Monday – FridayHours: 3:30PM to 12:00AMPayrate: $19.00+/Hour Responsibilities of the Plater Operator:Various tasks assigned by supervisor.Clips and racks parts for plating operations.Chemically cleans metal for preparation of plating.Runs parts through furnace per methods for cleaning and sinter process.Racks and barrel plate parts per method.Dries parts in hot box or alternative drying methods (such as methanol dip).Un-rack parts and visually inspect parts for plating defects.Use XRF machine to measure plating thickness then file paperwork.Must be able to close plating room at end of shift.Maintain solutions within proper operating parameters.Remove parts from hooks, racks, baskets and inspect for plating deficiencies.Maintain racks, clips, balls, tanks, and other related plating equipment as required.Assist with the training/cross-training of all department employees.Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and with Morgan New Bedford, MA EHS Guidelines. Ideal candidate will have: Three to five years experience in manufacturing, preferably in a machining or screw machine environment. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform first piece/in-process inspections and complete documentation per customer requirements, quality standards and engineering drawings. • Perform First Article Inspection in accordance with AS9102 to include full dimensional layout as well as documentation verification of materials and special processes in accordance with an engineering drawing • Provide disposition for the inspected product and ensure adequate inventory control. • Perform in-process inspection and testing of finished goods • Calibrate, maintain, identify, and store measuring equipment. • Ensure Shelf-Life material compliance • Maintain records, data, and logs as necessary • Contribute to positive teamwork environment • Additional tasks or projects as assigned by management EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS: • A.S degree in related engineering or technical discipline or equivalent experience. • Ability to read a blueprint, and understand Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances (GD&T) • Understanding of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) reports. • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ISO9001 and AS9100 standard is strongly preferred • Ability to work independently, utilizing good judgement, and as part of a team. • Ability to lift 50 pounds. • Able to effectively communicate SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESTEMP TO PERM WITH EXCELLETN COMPANY BENEFITS
