Assembler Line Lead

The Lead Assembler is responsible for coordination, prioritizing and enabling daily production activities. Manage daily/weekly output based on material/capacity availability, and proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks. Assist Production Supervisor in ensuring execution of production plan to meet customer requirements. Assist with meeting incentive metrics goals (safety, on-time delivery, efficiency, and productivity). Location: North Kingston, RIPay Rate: $20HR DOE.Shift: Monday to Thursday 3:00PM-1:30AM Overtime is mandatory, on Fridays. Key Responsibilities of the Lead Assembler: Major Tasks and Responsibilities:Coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, output and on-time delivery targetsIdentify material/capacity constraints and resolve issues, including chasing material shortages, expediting and prioritizing functions (receiving, inspection, mfg. engineering, etc.) and escalating issues.Ensure that safe work practices are in use at all times.Ensure that ERP transactions are completed to reflect physical material movement.Achieve cycle count accuracy goals.Ensure production activities are completed in accordance with design and process documentation.Lead daily production meetings and assist with creating and publishing daily/weekly/monthly metrics.Assist with training and coaching of production workforce.Use data and continuous improvement tools to resolve internal and external corrective actions and drive process improvement. The Plater is a member of the Plating Department reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor. For this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or a general education development (GED) degree, along with three to five years of relevant experience.
