Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, currently has an immediate opening for an Maintenance Mechanic– 2nd Shift at a local manufacturing plant in East Stroudsburg, PA. The ideal candidate must have experience and knowledge of the following industrial equipment: electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and plumbing.   This position is approximately 60% mechanical and 40% electrical 
 
 
Payrate:            $25.24/Hour or Commensurate w/ experience 
Days:                Monday – Friday  
Hours:               3:00 PM – 11:30 PM 2nd Shift (Some overtime and occasional call-in for the weekend)
 
 
Responsibilities of a Maintenance Mechanic– 2nd Shift
 
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all production machines, heating, cooling and steam systems, material-handling equipment, as well as plumbing, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatics industrial equipment.
  • Repair, adjust, and troubleshoot all production and industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Repair and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Responsible for the start-up, daily operation, change-over, and shutdowns of all production and manufacturing equipment in the plant.
  • Assist with installations of new machinery and equipment.  
  • Log, record, and track preventative maintenance procedures in the maintenance software system. 
  • Complete work orders as required. 
  • Respond to maintenance calls on the production floor. 
  • Inventory spare parts, report usage, and suggest re-order to Maintenance Lead.  
  • Communicate with Production Operators and other Maintenance Mechanics to explain mechanical processes and root causes.  
  • Properly maintain tools.  
 
Qualifications of a Maintenance Mechanic– 2nd Shift
 
  • Must have working knowledge of 480V, 3-phase electricity. 
  • Must have previous hydraulic and repair experience.
  • Previous experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and Honeywell process controls is a big plus. 
  • Must have at least 3-5 years of experience or training with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and equipment. 
  • Must have 4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. 
  • Experience in troubleshooting and reading electrical/mechanical schematics. Ability and knowledge of gauges and measurements. 
  • Machining, welding, fabrication, and millwright experience is a big plus. 
  • Must wear PPE including safety glasses and safety boots (steel-toe or composite-toe). 
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong focus on safety and quality. 
  • Must maintain good attendance. 
  • Must be able to become certified with Forklift, Scissor-Lift, and other material-handling equipment.  
  • Availability to work overtime and during off-shift hours as needed. 
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen. 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident alien of the United States. 
  • All candidates must have one of the following documents:  U.S. Birth Certificate, or U.S. Passport, or Certificate of Naturalization, or Permanent Resident Card.
 
Physical Requirements of a Maintenance Mechanic– 2nd Shift
   
  • Capable of working in a manufacturing environment with noise and dusty conditions. 
  • Dusty and noisy environment due to carbon parts and manufacturing equipment. 
  • Ability to work in hot or cold temperatures and around machinery and chemicals. 
  • Capable of walking and standing for up to twelve (12) hours per day. 
  • Must be able to walk, bend, pull, and push without assistance (example: brace, cane) 
  • Frequently reach with hands and arms.  Constant use of hands/fingers to handle and manipulate, parts and tools. 
  • Constantly wear PPE including safety glasses and safety boots (Steel-toe or Composite-toe).
