Position Summary: The Microfluidics Assembler is responsible for producing high quality flow cells and other microfluidic devices.


  • Assembly of glass components and other materials with fine adjustments to close tolerances
  • Perform work tasks in accordance with all Manufacturing Instructions (MI's) to standard cycle times
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and organized work area.
  • Ability to use a microscope & perform inspection and /or assembly under magnification
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to assure conformance to quality standards
  • Operate inspection and other assembly equipment
  • Able to use measuring tools, tweezers & other small hand tools
  • Able to use pipettes or other dispensing equipment
  • Able to assemble components while wearing gloves
  • Need to understand the basic concepts of assembly & lot tracking
  • Familiarity with the metric measuring system
  • Identify non-conforming materials
  • Accurate inventory transactions
  • Execute per production schedules
  • Use all required PPE as instructed


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment, or participation in a manufacturing training program
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Blueprint reading
  • Experience in a clean room environment
  • Experience assembling with microscope required
  • Reliable transportation
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (participation in college manufacturing courses or certification is desired)
  • Ability to understand, read and write in English
  • Ability to maintain extreme attention to detail and follow multi-step processes accurately
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Ability to enter data in ERP system and Microsoft Access
