Furnace Operator

Location: New Bedford, MA 02745Payrate: 19.50+/HourSchedule: Sunday and Saturday: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PMMonday and Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM(4 Day Work Week – 40 Hours) Responsibilities of the Furnace Operator:Furnace Operator operates and controls furnaces to maintain temperature and vacuum to specifications.Assemble small, tiny medical device parts.Observe temperature gauges, pressure gauges, and cooling flow gauges to verify operating conditions of small and large furnace units and records data.Maintain and operate multiple furnaces simultaneously.Examine furnaces for signs of overheating, leakage, and other malfunctions and report irregularities to supervisor.Load furnaces and ensure proper placement of parts.Carry out regular and preventative maintenance procedures.Read and interpret documents including operation and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safety rules. Write routine reports and correspondence.Assemble small parts and perform assembly related duties.Modify existing programs per engineering recommendations.Cleanroom dress and protocol is mandatory.Visually inspects parts for quality braze and soldering results.Places parts on appropriate carriers for transport to next operation.Conduct all tasks safely, complying with all company safety guidelines and proper use of PPE.
