This position is approximately 60% mechanical and 40% electrical. **** Location: East Stroudsburg, PA 18301Payrate: $25.24/Hour or Commensurate with experienceDays: Monday – Friday Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM 2nd Shift(Some overtime and occasional call-in for the weekend) Maintenance Mechanic will perform the following duties: Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all production machines, heating, cooling and steam systems, material-handling equipment, as well as plumbing, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatics industrial equipment.Maintenance Mechanic will repair, adjust, and troubleshoot all production and industrial manufacturing equipment. Maintenance Mechanic will repair and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the start-up, daily operation, change-over, and shut-downs of all production and manufacturing equipment in the plant.Maintenance Mechanic will assist with installations of new machinery and equipment.Maintenance Mechanic will log, record, and track preventative maintenance procedures in the maintenance software system.The Maintenance Mechanic will complete work orders as required.The Maintenance Mechanic will respond to maintenance calls on the production floor.Maintenance Mechanic will inventory spare parts, report usage, and suggest re-order to Maintenance Lead. Communicate with Production Operators and other Maintenance Technicians to explain mechanical processes and root causes. Maintenance Mechanic must properly maintain tools. Maintenance Mechanic must have the following qualifications: Must have working knowledge of 480V, 3-phase electricity.Must have previous hydraulic and repair experience.Previous experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and Honeywell process controls is a big plus.Must have at least 3-5 years of experience or training with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and equipment.Must have 4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Experience in troubleshooting and reading electrical/mechanical schematics.Ability and knowledge of gauges and measurements.Machining, welding, fabrication, and millwright experience is a big plus.Must wear PPE including safety glasses and safety boots (steel-toe or composite-toe).High school diploma or GED.Strong focus on safety and quality.Must maintain good attendance.Must be able to become certified with Forklift, Scissor-Lift, and other material-handling equipment. Job Duties: Performing routine maintenance checks, following strict safety regulations and guidelines, and operating mechanical or computer-operated equipment. Operating mixing vats and cryogenic ice cream machinery. Ensuring that all products are made within specs. Following the daily schedule to ensure proper inventory is used, making sure first in, first out. Following recipes and measuring out exact amounts of flavoring and colors. Filling out paperwork for every batch of ice cream produced to record lot numbers for product tracing purposes. Helping in other departments when needed.
