Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, is currently hiring a Tool and Die Maker for a well-known manufacturing company in Stratford, CT.  The ideal candidate must be able to execute diverse duties that construct, alter, maintain, and repair a variety of tools, die, piercing and blanking dies. Candidate must have mechanical aptitude and attend weekly training 3x a week..

Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Mon-Fri

Role and Responsibilities of a Tool and Die Maker:

• Works from sketches, setting up machines to operate tools; devises and improvises tooling to meet specific requirements

• Fits and assembles tool & all die types sharpening & grinding for production 

• Make tool tryouts to diagnose errors with tools & dies to report to supervisor

• Determine needed repairs for tooling & tearing down with measuring instruments

• Record data for tooling equipment changes

• Detect faulty conditions reporting defective material to supervisor

Qualifications of a Tool and Die Maker:

• Ability to use advanced shop math, charts, tables, and handbook formula

• Work with complicated drawing sketches reading, writing, and speaking English.

• Have broad knowledge of a trade in the technical field

• Attend training 3 days a week. 

• Adhere to hearing protection, protective eyewear, steel toe footwear, and hand protection
