Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, is currently hiring a Shipping Associate for a luxury linen warehouse located in Fall River, MA. The ideal candidate will possess warehouse experience and understand how to follow procedures to perform routine packing and shipping.  Forklift trained and licensed individuals are a plus, but not required.

Hours2:45pm – 11:15pm – 2nd shift, 8 hours

Salary: $18.58/hour

Responsibilities of a Shipping Associate: 

  • Pack and ship customer orders accurately and in a timely manner

  • Be able to identify products by size, type, style, color or product code

  • Inspect product and packaging for defects or damage

  • Receives, unloads and place incoming inventory items and raw materials in appropriate areas

  • Restocking bulk items on overstock/picking shelves

  • Ensure fulfillment equipment is maintained on a regular basis

  • Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area

  • Accurately count stock as listed on the cycle count sheet

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat

  • Always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness

  • Ability to safely operate hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment 

  • Train and be licensed to operate a forklift as needed 

  • Participate in end-of-year inventory 

  • Perform inventory cycle counts 

  • Crosstrain for various responsibilities/positions within the department 

Qualification Requirements for a Shipping Associate: 

  • Must be able to read and understand information provided on packing slip/pick slips

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Capable of lifting over 50lbs 

  • Basic computer skills necessary to use shipping/scanning system 

Physical/Environmental Demands of a Shipping Associate:

  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects

  • Required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb 

  • Required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and taste or smell

  • Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include color recognition, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the abilities to adjust focus 

  • The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions
