Shipping and Receiving Clerk

As the order processing/shipping clerk your responsibilities include generating and issuing work orders, checking order accuracy, generating shipping labels, packing shipments and processing paperwork. The job requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment. Must be enthusiastic, dependable, and flexible and have a positive attitude. You must be detail-oriented with an ability to multi-task to complete multiple assignments while communicating and following up with the team. Routinely handle highly confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.


  • Picking, packing, inspecting, and shipping of all parcel shipments (UPS, FedEx…)
  • Making all freight (LTL & TL) arrangements to meet customer requirements and project delivery schedule
  • Proactive tracking of all parcel and freight shipments to assure on time delivery and eliminate any delivery issues
  • Generating and issuing work orders
  • Check inventory and order shipping material to ensure sufficient quantities are available
  • Responsible for working effectively and professionally with the customer and internal departments
  • Initial point of contact regarding orders for the manufacturing/distribution facilities
  • Responsible for preparing and distributing various reports and order logs
  • Assembly work required when not performing clerical and shipping duties


  • International Shipping experience
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Proficiency in typing and data entry
  • History of setting and meeting goals
  • Extremely organized, excellent time management
  • Computer skills as required to perform job duties (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Experience with or other CRM Software a plus
  • Ability to confidently correspond via oral and written means

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, crouch, walk, sit, push, and pull throughout the entire day
