Set up Technician

Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, is currently hiring a Set Up Technician for a well-known manufacturing company in Stratford, CT.  The ideal candidate must have mechanical aptitude. Candidates must be able to work in the presence of motorized equipment to set up, produce & monitor acceptable parts. Must read, write and speak English.

Pay Rate - $20, Entry Level - $30 per hour, Experienced

Shift – 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Mon-Fri

Role and Responsibilities of a Set Up Technician:

• Monitors dimensions on parts to ensure product is acceptable

• Sets up machine and submits part to inspection for approval, when required

• Adheres to housekeeping and safety requirements within facility

• Empties scrap when requested

• Assists operators as needed

Qualifications of a Set Up Technician:

• Must be able to perform visual inspection, inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, drop indicators and written instructions

• Follows inspection reports /forms and records necessary data

• Understands and follows guidelines of traveler, verbal, and written instructions

• Basic math, reading and writing ability for record keeping purposes

• Adhere to hearing protection, protective eyewear, steel toe footwear, hand protection

• Be mindful of all required safety measures.
