Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, is a leading staffing agency in the U.S. in the light industrial sector.
We are currently hiring a Quality Operator (metalizing dept.) for a large manufacturing plant that manufactures aerospace components and medical devices, located in New Bedford, MA.

Payrate: 17.00/Hour
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 7:00 AM -- 3:30 PM
Position Summary:
The Quality Operator (metalizing dept.) reports directly to the Production Supervisor. This role is a great opportunity to join a global, hi-tech team, supporting the medical and aerospace industries. The company is a manufacturer of ceramic to metal seals for both the Aerospace and Medical markets.
Responsibilities of the Quality Operator (Metalizing):
Quality Operator will perform detailed assembly operations using microscopes, tweezers, micrometers, or dial indicators.
Perform repetitive bench operations.
Quality Operator will use microscope to perform designated tasks.
Quality Operator will work inside a cleanroom. Cleanroom PPE and protocol is mandatory.
Perform basic metalizing tasks, such as screen printing, hand-painting, injecting, scribing, roller-coating, dabbing, dip, spray, etc.
Apply various metallizing inks and liquid resin to parts using hand-held paint brushes to a wide range of parts, with the aid of a microscope.
Precision coats within scribed lines.
Mount parts in power-drive spindle and operate to apply uniform coating with various inks.
Quality Operator will make small adjustments to ink viscosity.
Operate electric centrifuge machine and adjust RPMs and time cycle as needed.
Dry painted ceramic parts using portable electric dryer, heat lamp, and transite oven.
Quality Operator will prepare parts for next operation.
Inspect painted and unpainted parts visually and mechanically using microscopes, gauges, scales, and micrometers.
Responsible for proper metalizing application on ceramics. Monitor changes that would affect proper metalizing coverage.
Work with Engineers to develop methods for prototype parts.
Must work in a clean room environment.
Quality Operator will perform the following assembly/verification operations:
Assembly
Helium leak test
Electrical Testing
Visual Inspection
Qualifications for Quality Operator:
Experience with microscopes and measuring instruments is strongly preferred.
Previous relevant experience is strongly preferred.
Previous cleanroom experience strongly preferred.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
US Citizen, or
Permanent Resident alien of the United States
Basic/intermediate math skills.
Physical Requirements of Quality Operator:
Required to talk and hear.
Required to pass eye test.
Required to stand, walk, and sit.
Required to use fingers, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
