Quality Operator - Aerospace (2nd Shift)


Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, is a leading staffing agency in the U.S. in the light industrial sector. We are currently hiring a Quality Operator (Aerospace Dept.) for a large manufacturing plant that manufactures aerospace components and medical devices, located in New Bedford, MA.

Payrate:  18.00/Hour

Days:  Monday - Friday

Hours:  3:30 PM -- 12:00 AM (2nd Shift)

Position Summary:

The Quality Operator (Aerospace Dept.) reports directly to the Production Supervisor.  This role is a great opportunity to join a global, hi-tech team, supporting the medical and aerospace industries.  The company is a manufacturer of ceramic to metal seals for both the Aerospace and Medical markets.  


Responsibilities of the Quality Operator (Aerospace Dept.):

  • Quality Operator will perform detailed assembly operations using microscopes, tweezers, micrometers, or dial indicators.

  • Perform bright dip process using chemicals to clean and polish metal components.

  • Clean parts using file, deburr machine, and hand tools.

  • Quality Operator will sandblast stainless steel parts, use mask as needed.

  • Perform repetitive bench operations.

  • Quality Operator will utilize microscope.

  • Maintain material inspection records.

  • Maintain quality and quantity with accountability and standards.

  • Quality Operator will complete all relevant documentation.

  • Clean equipment and work area.

  • Conduct all tasks in a safe manner complying with all company EHS Guidelines.   Guidelines include participation in required EHS training and use of proper PPE.

  • Quality Operator will perform the following assembly/verification operations:

    • Assembly

    • Helium leak Test

    • Electrical Testing

    • Visual Inspection


Qualifications for Quality Operator (Aerospace):

    • Previous relevant experience is strongly preferred.

    • Experience with microscopes and measuring instruments is strongly preferred.

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

    • Must speak, read, write ENGLISH.

    • US Citizen, or

    • Permanent Resident alien of the United States

    • Basic/intermediate math skills.

Physical Requirements of Quality Operator (Aerospace):

  • Required to talk and hear.

  • Required to pass eye test.

  • Required to stand, walk, and sit.

  • Required to use fingers, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

  • Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
