Product Manager

Reports to Purchasing Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing commodities on a daily basis
  • Generate what to buy for company
  • Run problem solving of incomplete shipments and warehouse questions
  • Correspondence with sales reps
  • Advise inside sales of price changes and new price books when they occur
  • Work with inventory management team to ensure that all delivery dates are accurate and satisfy the assigned purchase orders
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of products used on a regular basis
  • Reach out to suppliers on orders that may be missing requested paperwork when parts come in
  • Enter urgent/air ship orders messaged by salespeople during the day that are not on the buy report
  • Handle inquiries from branches and assist other departments with inquiries
  • Update product line files
  • Work with inventory control to assist with stock rotations
  • Enter purchase orders
  • Look for opportunities to increase profit
  • Ensure all confirmation of purchase orders are done within two business days
