Payroll Administrator

Primary Responsibility

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing of payroll on a weekly basis for our hourly, nonexempt employees. This role also entails assisting with the administrative functions in the Human Resources department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of weekly payroll for over 400 employees
  • Review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets
  • Track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions
  • Establish/maintain employee records
  • Ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis
  • Resolve any payroll discrepancies with employees and/ or bills
  • Track Weeks Worked for all Seasonal employees
  • Assist in employee hiring and onboarding

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience
  • Bilingual required
  • Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll system (Paycom)
  • Assists employees with Paycom login / time off requests, resetting of passwords, general Paycom related issues
  • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Works directly with employees in answering any payroll questions
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines

Physical requirements

  • Ability to sit for the length of your shift
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
  • Ability to bend and stand as necessary
