Summary: Responsible for the accurate and efficient packaging of finished product. Must be capable of reading and understanding nutritional information in English, detail oriented, abilities using basic touch screens, teamwork. Must adhere to all company GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and all Food Safety policies. Duties and Responsibilities: (Include, but are not limited to the following): • Handling, weighing, labeling, and packaging of Bulk/Retail products. • Inspect customer product labels for conformance to all print’s specifications, including, but not limited to: Client name, Label type, Codes, Allergen’s information, etc. • Responsible for coordinating and identifying with the Machine Operator all the steps of the labeling process, ensuring proper label setting according to product and client specifications. • Effectively perform the setup for a label change to comply with the new requirements, order, and product information. • Follow and understand verbal instruction in a fast-paced environment. • Comply with all health, sanitation, GMP, and USDA regulations described in the Employee Handbook and other policy and procedure documents. For example, ensure that all meats are handled and stored correctly, wash hands after handling meats, etc., • Ensure clean, safe, and organized work areas. • Daily sanitation of production lines. • Frequent bending and lifting at the waist/knees. • May be required to work long hours and weekends. • Other duties include assembling boxes, packing meat products, weighing, and loading boxes on pallets. • After competition of adequately trained, responsible for operating the following: Box sealer, scale, and vacuum sealer. • Operate an electric pallet jack. • Collect wash and sanitize boxes for re-use in production.
