Material Handler

Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions is currently hiring a Material Handler - I for a well-known power management company located in Kings Mountain, NC.  The ideal candidate will require a High School Diploma/GED.  Prior forklift experience is a plus.

Location: Kings Mountain, NC

Payrate: $13.50/HR

Hours: 3PM to 11:20PM (Monday to Saturday and every other Sunday)

Responsibilities of the Material Handler - I:

• Operate a forklift to drive material routes to maintain proper flow, distribution, and accuracy of materials and supplies in the clutch assembly area.

• Validate and verify material and quantities for all parts; escalate inventory discrepancy concerns to supervisor.

• Assist during changeover preparation by communicating with operators/lead and pulling materials ahead of changeover activities.

• Possess soft skills such as: communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Requirements of the Material Handler - I:

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

• Prior experience operating fork trucks or other powered industrial vehicles. upon hire, must pass forklift examination and operate forklift in a safe manner.

• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with windows-based software.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly operation preferred.

• Able to lift to 40 lbs. on a regular basis.

• Able to stand and walk.

• Prior experience with the following software is helpful: excel, oracle, premium freight database, UPS website and outlook

• Strong teamwork skills

• Strong attention to detail
