Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance work orders on equipment, responding to maintenance calls and general plant maintenance
Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
Completes preventive maintenance work orders on equipment, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
Troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical malfunctions.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Controls downtime by informing production of mechanical issues and preventive maintenance scheduling
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop equipment.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by informing the lead maintenance person of what parts are used and needed; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies;
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions on work orders and communicating with the lead maintenance person through work orders and communication boards.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team effort and demonstrates responsibility and initiative by completing job assignments and request efficiently
Must observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and see them through to completion by assigned deadlines
Experience with coordinating multiple skill projects
Must be able to set realistic goals for self
Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written
Must be able to work well with others, and be dependable and flexible
Must be able to life and/or move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to write and read daily logs
