Monroe Staffing is seeking candidates for Cornerboard Machine Operator positions in Rock Hill, SC. These are positions on all shifts, with 8 hour schedules and frequent overtime. The successful candidate will transition from temp to perm status after a probationary period.

The duties and responsibilities of the Cornerboard Operator include:

  • Load paper rolls and paperboard materials to a feeder system, lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Read, comprehend, and follow basic manufacturing work instructions, including detailed product codes
  • Adjust and maintain tolerances on industrial machine to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Monitor levels of adhesive materials to ensure proper ratios for paper edge board production
  • Use hand, eye, and foot coordination to cut completed angleboard to specified sizes using industrial saws
  • Utilize tape measure to confirm accuracy on each cornerboard order as it is completed
  • Stack completed paper edge board and/or angleboard to completed pallets and secure properly
  • Maintain documentation and logs via written and digital records for production totals

The successful candidate will have the following experience and/or qualifications:

  • At least 1 year in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • At least 6 months in a machine operator or construction position
  • Previous experience in the production of cardboard, cornerboard, angleboard, or paper edge board a plus
  • Additional experience operating box machine, Bobst, or Die Cutter machine is helpful but not required
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, with potential up to 75 pounds occasionally throughout the shift
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings in accordance with state and federal law
