Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Duties:

Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on equipment including pumps, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyor systems, and semi-automated production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.

Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

Remove and fix defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.

Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.

Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to retrieve and deposit mechanical maintenance information (work orders, procedures, etc).

Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs across shifts and to lead.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing any other task that is requested.

Skills/Qualifications: Experience with equipment maintenance, Technical understanding of how machines work, Must be able to adhere to all safety policies, Experience working with power tools, Must possess attention to detail when working on equipment.
