Customer Service
Job Summary
Primary retail customer representative responsible for delivering superior customer service with speed, discipline, and accuracy through knowledge and experience.
General Accountabilities
* Owns retail counter experience and all associated tasks:
o Open/close retail drawer
o Greet retail customers and offer assistance in a pleasant and timely manner
o Assist customers at the retail counter including but not limited to questions; quotes, orders, returns, via retail register orders
o Brings order paperwork to the floor for pick up orders or to the Production Coordinator to distribute paperwork for small truck/house deliveries
o Print and verify accuracy of the open order reports for retail
o Maintain the file system of invoice orders
o Maintain customer service area including re-stocking of trim samples and product literature
* Answer all incoming phone calls to main company line promptly with good phone manner:
o Assist retail customers with phone orders and questions
o Route other calls to the appropriate party
* Back up/support for Inside Sales reps as needed:
o Provide overflow support during busy months for take-off entry and other tasks for your assigned I/S person
o Cover for assigned I/S person during vacations / time-off
* Special Projects as assigned

Job Qualifications
* Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience in the building materials industry, preferably in millwork
* Knowledge of millwork, building materials and / or the home building process a plus
* Strong "customer first" mindset
* Positive, friendly and pleasant manner a must
* Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office, familiarity with a building materials ERP system (BisTrack, Spruce, DSMI, etc.), experience with Ponderosa a plus
* Excellent organization and time management skills
* Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems while maintaining positive, friendly demeanor
* Friendly and approachable manner, superior people skills
* Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
