Manage inventory levels including ordering accurate quantities; determining proper lead times, tracking storage availability. Purchase parts, materials and supplies using the (MRP) and Kanban system. Place Purchase Orders needed to ensure fulfillment of material requirements (Production, Pre-Production, and Service Parts). Assure suppliers are on schedule, and expedite as required. Coordinate with incoming logistics to facilitate timely deliveries utilizing planned transportation modes. Work with quality department to handle rejected materials, solving supplier quality issues, processing defective parts, and improving overall supplier performance.
Minimum of 2 years purchsing experience
Computer knowledge (MS Excel proficiency. MS Word.)
Good communication skills (verbal and written), detailed-oriented.
Knowledge of MRP, Kanban. ISO and SAP experience a plus.
