Yard Helper

 

 

Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, is seeking a skilled and motivated Yard Helper for a well-known Lumber company located in Salem, MA. The ideal candidate would have at least 1 year of forklift operating experience, along with the ability to work indoors and outdoors.  No other experience required.

 

Location: Salem, MA 

Pay rate: $18 HR 

Shift: 1st shift – 7am to 5pm 

 

Key Responsibilities of the Yard Helper:

 

• Efficiently load/unload lumber 
• Perform part counts for quantity verification
• Use pallet jack, forklift, and clamp truck to transport products and materials
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Distribute materials to support manufacturing processes
• Perform receiving duties including unloading of trucks, and visually inspecting products for damage

 

 

Qualifications of the Yard Helper: 

 

• Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience, and familiarity with safety regulations
• Preferred experience with forklift
• Professional demeanor towards both internal and external contacts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs or more safely throughout the day
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities quickly
• Excellent attendance record
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
