- Location: Pawtucket/East Providence, RI area
- Use grinding machines to shape metal parts, removing excess material to achieve the desired shape and smoothness.
- Operating various grinding machines using calipers and micrometers.
- Sharpening and/or modifying form tools, drills, tap, reamers, recess tools, and making step drills.
- Setting up and running tracers on the lathe.
- Operating 30-ton cab cranes.
- Analyzing blueprint and planning sequence of operations.
- Setting up, running, and maintaining the surface grinding equipment, safely and effectively.
- Grinding and brazing all surfaces of the metal parts to close tolerances.
- Using precision measuring devices and inspecting all finished metalwork.
- Operating sophisticated machinery and accurately following blueprints and quality tolerance standards.
- 5 YEARS Experience would be ideal as a tool maker
