Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer – Houston, TX
 

Monroe Staffing is a division of Staffing 360 Solutions.   We are a leading staffing firm in the U.S. in the light industrial sector. 
 
We are currently searching for a Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer.   This direct-hire position is with a multinational manufacturer of industrial steel tubes and pipes for oil and gas drilling equipment.  
 
The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of OCTG pipe and tube threading.   Previous management experience managing direct team of subordinates.   Experience in Heavy Industrial Manufacturing.   Strong experience with project management and a manufacturing background, as well as experience in the implementation of Manufacturing Process Controls.    Experience working with an international team and with different cultures.
 
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent degree and experience is required.   Regular domestic travel between Houston, Ohio, and Oklahoma manufacturing plants is required.

$125,000/yearly base salary

Management duties of the Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer:

  • Lead a team of Engineers (5 to 10 direct reports) in several U.S. locations.   May also include leading one or more Sr. Process Engineers.    Travel regularly between Houston, Ohio, and Oklahoma manufacturing locations.
  • Lead Engineer team and provide guidance and coaching to secure the right execution of projects and actions. 
  • Responsible for benchmarks, strategical development, engineering training, project preparation, and execution. 
  • Budget and time control of projects. 
  • Provide leadership with project management.
  • Preparation of KPIs and reporting of performance results. 
  • Continuous improvement of processes.
 
 
 Process Engineering / Operations duties of the Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer:

  • Maintain and promote proficiency in accepted process methodology to assure conformity while continuously improving productivity. 
  • Guide and improve the different working streams at the threading locations and merge the teams together. 
  • Support Operations to resolve process problems and coordinate with technical groups to improve performance. 
  • Be an active participant in performance improvements. 
  • Work with and communicate with company training team in N.A.
 
 
Education/Experience for the Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent degree and experience is required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in OCTG pipe and tube threading is preferred.
  • Previous management experience managing direct team of subordinates. 
  • Experience in Heavy Industrial Manufacturing.
  • Strong experience with project management and a manufacturing background is required. 
  • Experience in the implementation of Manufacturing Process Controls.   
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must possess strong analytical, interpersonal, and management skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak well in English.
  • Experience working with an international team and with different cultures.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • Results oriented and ability to develop objectives and plan resources to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving and ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Quality, cost, and performance understanding with a strong customer focus.
 
 
Travel Requirements for the Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer:

  • This position requires regular domestic travel between Houston, Ohio, and Oklahoma manufacturing plants.
 
 
Supervisory Responsibilities for the Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer:

  • This position has supervisory/management responsibilities with direct subordinates.
