Primary job function is to provide manufacturing technical support and guidance to weld shop.

Responsibilities include:

Review customer drawings, specifications, or other technical material to establish dimension and tolerance requirements.

Define the weld processes, equipment and tooling necessary to manufacture producs to these requirements economically.

Design and develop weld fixtures and tooling.

Prepare detailed sequential work instructions for welders to use to make parts.

Derive and develop inspection procedures for welders to use to assure parts are made to customer requirements.

Inspect individual components and welded assemblies at various stages of completion.  Manufacturing procedures as necessary to assure final compliance with customer dr specifications.

Maintain weld schedules and parameters for carbon steel, stainless steel and alumin MIG welding.

Identify, analyze and resolve weld related problems.

• Safely and effectively perform routine and non-routine equipment maintenance on automated production equipment. Equipment included, but not limited to: Hydraulic/ Pneumatic control systems, PLC Control Systems. Material handling equipment; roller conveyors, belt conveyors, walking beams, elevators and product transports.
• Perform work assignments efficiently in a productive and safe manner.
• Troubleshoot operational and equipment problems and repair.

• Maintenance Mechanic should be proficient with hand tools of many types
• As a part of the maintenance mechanic position : troubleshooting you must be able to work through a machine that has electrical hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components and arrive to a conclusion of where the failure lies.
• Maintenance Mechanic should be able to diagnose mechanical problems and determine hot to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Maintenance Mechanic should have strong electrical skills.  Comfortable with single and three phase circuits/power distribution AC-DC motor controls with strong ability to troubleshoot and determine failures.
• Maintenance Mechanic should have strong control circuit skills.  From vdc to 120 vac control drives and components for machine control 
• Maintenance Mechanic must be able to read and comprehend relay logic schematics and posses strong troubleshooting abilities. 
• Ability to use PLC Soft Screen interfaces as a toll to diagnose as well as improve processes some with ladder logic changes.
• Maintenance Mechanic should have experience with temperature controllers and understand the operation and configuration parameters as well as be able to set them up as needed. 
• Maintenance Mechanic should e able to troubleshoot pneumatics systems and components.  Determine the point of failure and repair.
• Maintenance Mechanic should have strong understanding of fluid power.  Must be able to read and understand hydraulic schematics, understand hydraulic components and how they work, and be able to work through a system to find the root problem.  Must have strong communication and orgizational skills.

- A demonstrated ability to read blue prints.
