Matt Briand
President and CEO
Matt joined Monroe Staffing in 2001 and worked his way up through the ranks of the company, learning every aspect of the business. In January 2009 he was appointed President and CEO. Matt leads the organization's strategic direction and growth, and is focused on building Monroe Staffing's regional presence through organic development, partnerships and acquisitions. Matt serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Monroe Staffing, a division of Initio International. Matt holds a bachelor's degree from Plymouth State University.
Erik Schwartz
Director, Business Development
Erik started his professional career with Monroe Staffing eight years ago as an account executive with the Light Industrial division. Erik continues to handle new client acquisition and is responsible for the execution of sales and marketing initiatives for that division. Erik also manages the business development and recruitment function for several teams within the Professional Services group. He is a member of the Society of Human Resources Managers (SHRM) and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Ithaca College.
Steve Miller
Chief Financial Officer
Steve joined Monroe Staffing in 2009 as a vice president and is the newest member of the senior management team. He brings over 25 years of accounting and finance experience to the company. Prior to joining Monroe Staffing, Steve spent 12 years in the equipment finance industry, and was formerly the EVP and CFO for a large independent leasing company. Steve and his department are responsible for all areas of accounting, finance and taxation for Monroe Staffing. He graduated with a degree in accounting from Ball State University.
Steve Thompson
Director, Professional Services and Information Technology
Steve joined Monroe Staffing in 2006 after more than 15 years' experience in the IT services industry, where he focused on client development and executive level recruiting. Steve has successfully built and branded several professional services practices providing technology staffing solutions. He's also managed services ranging from application development and infrastructure support to senior project management and executive level leadership. Steve and his team of senior professionals specialize in supplemental consulting and customized packaged services, as well as retained and contingent search. Steve has a bachelor's degree from University of Rhode Island and is a member of the Society for Information Management.
Paul Polito
Director, Operations
Paul was promoted to director of operations in January 2009, after seven years of service with Monroe Staffing. He has more than 15 years of operational management, sales, and recruiting experience in the staffing and customer service industries. In addition to working with clients, Paul handles the professional development and training at our branch offices and coordinates our employee-directed giving programs. Paul earned his bachelor's degree from Clemson University.
